Metal Church and Armored Saint

Formed in Los Angeles in 1982, Armored Saint is made up of heavy metal veterans. They’re the kind of talented group that has never needed any sort of gimmick, relying on great riffs and sharp songwriting. The band carved their own path in the metal world throughout the 1980s and has remained relentless advocates for the genre. From classics like “March of the Saint” and later standouts like “La Raza,” Armored Saint have maintained their individuality, proving that all you need to maintain longevity is a commitment to writing great music and showing up every day with armor intact.

Metal Church has spent decades continuously proving that heavy metal can be loud and intense, but also thoughtful.  From the early 1980s, they’ve had a knack for turning existential fear and dread into a really good time. They emerged as one of the defining names in American metal, and despite lineup changes, hiatuses, and shifting musical fashions, they’ve remained, amplified and uncompromising.
