Alice By Heart
Alice by Heart is a moving and imaginative musical that reimagines the beloved story of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland against the backdrop of World War II. Set in a London Underground shelter during the Blitz, the story follows Alice Spencer as she copes with fear, loss, and the impending separation from her childhood friend Alfred. Escaping into the fantastical world of Wonderland, Alice discovers that imagination can provide courage, hope, and healing even in the darkest of times. Featuring a contemporary score by Duncan Sheik and heartfelt lyrics by Steven Sater, the musical blends whimsy with emotional depth to explore themes of grief, resilience, and the power of storytelling.
